In South Asia, strategic litigation has become a potent instrument for addressing human rights violations, especially in light of the rise of political intolerance and populism. It contributes significantly to advancing socioeconomic justice and defending marginalized and vulnerable communities by utilizing the force of the law and independent judicial examination. With an emphasis on Nepal and South Asia, Purak Asia seeks to improve strategic litigation practices, promote peer learning, and increase awareness throughout the area. Our goal is to enable human rights defenders and civil society to effect significant changes through programs like publications and litigation labs.
